window painting in the Richmond / DC area

Are you a business owner looking for a way to make your shop windows pop? Perhaps you need your logo painted, a description and store hours, or just want some fun seasonal themes to make your shop stand out? I’m here to help and I LOVE WINDOW PAINTING, so let’s make it happen!

where

I offer window painting in the Richmond / Charlottesville / Fredericksburg, Virginia areas, as well as Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. If you’re anywhere in Virginia, North Carolina, DC, or Maryland - let’s talk!

how much

My rate ranges from $60-$75/hour for design work and painting, with a minimum of $200 per project. Prices depend on size, whether or not a custom design is involved, and where your windows are located. I’d love to give you a quote for what you have in mind - scroll on down and fill out the interest form and I’ll get back to you with a project quote!

designs

I can paint existing designs (like a logo or specific branding elements), but am also more than happy to create a custom lettered or seasonal design just for you.

** Please note that I only paint in black and white, with small color accents.

some of the details

What materials do you use?

I prefer to always paint on the inside of a window, as it helps preserve the work the longest. This helps protect the artwork from the weather and any passerby’s who may scratch the design. My go-to paint is a basic acrylic paint and water-based paint pens. These have a super great opacity and bright pop to them, but can be removed with windex and towels so you don’t have to worry about permanent paint when you’re ready to change things up. If you are looking for a more permanent, exterior window design - I have some professional sign painter friends who I would be happy to refer you to!

I have no idea how long projects take, do you have any examples?

Sure! These windows were done for the new Shop Made in Virginia store in Scott’s Addition in Richmond (you can drive by and see them any time!) - and included 4 window panels plus custom lettering and layout (the logo was already designed). These took me 13.5 hours to complete including design and painting; so the project came out to $810.
